Equity Management

 

James L. (Rocky) Barber, CFA

is Senior Vice President, Director of Equities, and a member of the Executive Management, Equity Strategy, and Investment Policy Committees. Mr. Barber joined RNC Genter Capital Management in 2005. He began his career in 1975 as an analyst for the Stanford University Endowment, operating one of the first institutional options programs in the country. In 1977 he joined Alliance Capital Management where he spent eight years as a Vice-President and Portfolio Manager in both equity and fixed income departments. In 1986 he joined William Blair & Co. for an eighteen year tenure where he served as Principal and Portfolio Manager. In 1993 he founded the William Blair & Co. Large-Cap Equity Product. Mr. Barber earned a M.B.A., a M.S., and a B.S.. from Stanford University. Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and serves on the Stanford Business School Advisory Council.

John G. Marshall, CFA

is Senior Vice President, Director of Portfolio Management, and a member of the Executive Management, Equity Strategy, Investment Policy, Brokerage Oversight, and Technology Committees. Mr. Marshall joined RNC Genter Capital Management in 1985. He began his career in 1968 as a Securities Analyst for Security Pacific National Bank of Los Angeles, California. He then joined First City National Bank of Houston, Texas, where he spent five years as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager. In 1979 he moved to PIMCO where he served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager. Mr. Marshall earned a M.B.A. and B.S. from the University of Southern California (USC). Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Jan F. Kallik, CFA

is Senior Vice President, Director of Equity Research, and a member of the Executive Management, Equity Research, Brokerage Oversight, and Investment Policy Committees. Mr. Kallik joined RNC Genter Capital Management in 1983. He began his career in 1969 with Western Asset Management Company as Vice President, Senior Investment Analyst, and Group Head of Research. Mr. Kallik earned a C.T.A. from the University of Witwaterstrand, C.C.S. from the University of South Africa, and a C.W.A. from the University of London. Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Charles H. Warner, CFA

is First Vice President, Portfolio Manager and a member of both the Equity Policy and Investment Policy Committees. Mr. Warner joined RNC Genter Capital Management in 2000. Before joining RNC Genter, he worked in the research department of a Los Angeles based hedge fund manager and as an associate in the portfolio management and research department at Churchill Management Group. Mr. Warner earned a M.B.A. from Pepperdine University and a B.S. from the University of Arizona. Additionally, he holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

David W. Pescherine, CFA

Mr. Pescherine joined RNC Genter Capital Management in 2006 as Vice President, Securities Analyst. Prior to joining RNC Genter, David served as a sell side analyst with Citigroup in San Francisco. During his six year tenure, he lead a small research group that specialized in electronics manufacturing services (EMS), part of the technology sector. Prior to his tenure at Citigroup he worked for First Union Bank in New Jersey and PepsiCo. Mr. Pescherine earned a M.B.A. from the Stern School of Business at New York University and a B.S. from Penn State University. Additionally, he is a CFA charterholder.

Anthony M. Hutton

is Vice President, Securities Analyst and a member of both the Equity Strategy and Investment Policy Committee. Mr. Hutton joined RNC Genter Capital Management in 2002 with over 18 years of industry experience. He began his career in 1984 at First Interstate Bank. In 1989 he joined Hughes Investment Management, the pension arm of Hughes Aircraft as Equity Analyst. Mr. Hutton earned a B.S. from University of the Pacific.

Teresa Brucker

is Director of Equity Trading and a member of the Brokerage Oversight and Technology Committees. Ms. Brucker joined RNC Genter Capital Management in 1990. She began her career in 1973 with the Pacific Stock exchange specializing in all aspects of institutional and retail order execution, including trade clearance and resolutions. In 1983 she joined William O'Neil and Company serving on the institutional trading desk where she managed equities for both foreign and domestic accounts. Ms. Brucker is a Registered Principal with the NASD.

David P. Klatt

is Vice President, Portfolio Manager and a member of the Investment Policy Committee. He began his investment career at RNC Genter Capital Management in 1999 as a Marketing Analyst. In 2000 he joined the firm’s equity department where he was promoted to Portfolio Manager Assistant. He received various promotions over his tenure in the department and in 2005 he assumed his current position as Associate Vice President, Portfolio Manager. Mr. Klatt earned a B.S. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and is a Level II candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst Program.

Cristopher J. Erdtsieck

is a Portfolio Manager Assistant. Mr. Erdtsieck joined RNC Genter Capital Management in 2006 and holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Southern California (USC). Cris supports the portfolio management and trading efforts of the equity management team. He is currently a Level II candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst program.
